Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

This policy explains the information Cosmic Obsidian Records collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep what we hold to a minimum and we never sell your data.

What we collect

We only collect what a given interaction needs.

• Demo submissions. If you send a demo through our form, we receive your name, email address, a link to your music, and any message you include.
• Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store the email address you provide, the date, and where you signed up. You get a single-use 10% code, created with Stripe and tagged with your email so it can only be used once. The list is shared with Jaylious, whose releases we put out, so you won't get the same email twice.
• Store orders. When you place an order, we collect your name, shipping address, and email so we can fulfil and ship it. Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe processes the transaction directly.

How we use it

• To respond to demo submissions and messages you send us.
• To process, fulfil, and ship the orders you place.
• To send occasional updates, but only if you have subscribed. To unsubscribe, reply "unsubscribe" to any email.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the partners needed to run the label and the store, and only for that purpose.

• Stripe — our payment processor, to take payment securely.
• Fulfilment and print partners (for example, Printful) and shipping carriers — to produce and deliver your made-to-order items.

These partners receive only what they need to complete the task. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

Cookies

We use minimal, essential cookies needed for the site and checkout to work. We do not run advertising trackers or sell behavioural data.

Data retention

We keep information only as long as we need it. Order records are retained as required for tax and accounting. Demo submissions and newsletter details are kept until they are no longer useful or until you ask us to remove them.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. Email info@cosmicobsidianrecords.com and we will handle your request promptly.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
